This piece is a tribute to the Yanomami people, one of the many remarkable cultures that continue to face the threat of disappearing in our rapidly changing world.
The sculpture portrays a small guardian gently moving a serpent out of the way, not through violence, but through care. It became a quiet symbol of protection, respect, and coexistence.
The initial inspiration came from the documentary Going to War with the Yanomami Tribe, but, as often happens, the idea gradually transformed as it mixed with other influences and my own experiences along the way.
