Music Man

This started as a completely unplanned sketch. I sat down without a concept in mind and simply followed whatever shapes felt interesting. Somewhere along the way, it became a character that combined two things I’ve always loved: walking for hours and listening to music.

I enjoy those kinds of sculpting sessions because they bypass overthinking. Instead of trying to solve a design problem, I let instinct take over and see what surfaces. More often than not, those are the pieces that surprise me the most.

Looking back, I can also see a bit of Spider-Verse finding its way into the final design. It wasn’t intentional at first, but sometimes the things that inspire us naturally sneak into the work.

Everyone has a soundtrack playing in the background of their life. This character was mine for a little while.
