This piece poured out almost entirely from the subconscious, which still fascinates me. The more I sculpt this way, the more I feel like the work already exists somewhere, and I’m just figuring out how to bring it to the surface.
As it evolved, it became a mix of personal feelings and a reflection on a tired Mother Nature, trying to keep up with everything we do to the planet and to ourselves.
I imagined her existing in an open, almost heavenly space, but also as a physical art installation. I’d love to explore this piece in VR someday.
