Neptune has always been one of those mythological figures I wanted to sculpt. He’s often portrayed as powerful and imposing, but I was equally interested in giving him a sense of age, calm, and quiet authority, as if the ocean itself had shaped him over centuries.

For this piece, I spent a lot of time thinking about weathered stone, coral, salt, and the subtle textures that come from a lifetime beneath the sea. I wanted those elements to feel like part of the character rather than decoration.

As with many of my personal projects, mythology was simply the starting point. The real fun was exploring how far I could push the forms while keeping the sculpture grounded and believable.
