This piece was inspired by a recent trip to Turkey, where I had the chance to take my mom on her first international trip in decades. After living in different countries for years, spending that time together meant more than I can put into words.
One evening, while we were resting in a park after a long day of walking, I watched a grandmother arrive with her daughters and granddaughters. They laughed, talked, and simply enjoyed being together. It was a quiet, beautiful moment that stayed with me.
Mother Time became my way of capturing that feeling. A mother, present and grounded, sharing one of life’s simplest and most meaningful moments: being with the people she loves.
