I’ve always loved Blanka’s design, but instead of imagining him as a fighter, I started wondering what he might have become after many years deep in the Amazon.

In my mind, he turned into an ancient guardian of the jungle. Wise, gentle, deeply connected to nature, but still more than capable of protecting it when necessary.

This piece was a chance to mix one of my favorite game characters with Brazilian folklore and the mystery of the rainforest. I’d gladly sit down, share a drink with old Blanka, and listen to whatever stories he had to tell.
