Like many artists, I was completely inspired by the incredible work on Avatar: The Way of Water. This became my own interpretation of a Na’vi character, Humi’ra.
I spent a couple of months completely immersed in this project. It probably became the personal piece I’ve obsessed over the most so far. Along the way I explored new hair workflows in XGen, spent countless hours refining textures, and learned a tremendous amount from the process.
Every personal project teaches me something different, and Humi’ra pushed me further than I expected. Looking back, that’s what makes it one of my favorite pieces.
